它是集打撈杯、強磁打撈器和“一把抓＂三種功能為— 體的新型打撈工具 。既可打撈粒狀金屬落物， 又可抓撈牙輪、鉗牙等大塊落物，是 目前清潔井底的理想工具。他利用銑鞋劃眼把碎物 入內筒，然后投球，利用泥漿壓力使活塞帶動巖心爪下行，使巖心爪沿銑鞋內臺肩斜坡向中心收縮，撈獲落物。它的作用類似一把抓，但比一把抓可靠的多。
